Moose's Tooth was our first stop on our Alaska fall adventure, and it was exactly the kind of welcome we were hoping for. Outside, Anchorage was settling into a cool, rainy afternoon. Inside, the restaurant was warm and lively, with the aroma of freshly baked pizza and tables filled with locals and visitors enjoying their favorite dishes.

Between the creative pizzas, comforting sides and seasonal desserts, it was an easy place to settle in and enjoy our first taste of Anchorage. Sometimes the best way to begin an adventure isn't by heading straight to the mountains or glaciers. It's by finding a great local restaurant, enjoying a memorable meal and getting a feel for the place you've come to explore.
