Ocean Breeze or Poolside Ease? The Battle for Ultimate Bliss

Vacations aren’t just about where you go — they’re about how you rest. On the Riviera Maya, our Latitude Buddies discovered two contenders for ultimate relaxation: Bali beds by the ocean and Bali beds by the pool. Naturally, a friendly battle began.
Splash the Water Scout staked out the beachfront Bali bed. From this spot, the ocean stretched endlessly ahead, waves rolling in as hammocks swayed nearby. Splash loved being just steps from the surf — it meant salty swims followed by instant shade and soft pillows. For ocean lovers, this bed wins every time.
Sunny the Surfboard, on the other hand, took a break from the waves to lounge poolside. Surrounded by lush gardens and the quiet trickle of water, Sunny discovered a different kind of bliss. Here, the vibe was calmer, with drinks just an arm’s reach away and a perfect view of swimmers drifting lazily in the pool.
💡 Our Travel Tip: Bali beds are often limited and need to be reserved in advance. If you’re a pool person, ask your butler to secure one early in the day. If the ocean calls, make sure you request beachfront. And here’s a pro tip: when resorts charge for Bali beds or cabanas, the cost often includes food and drinks — sometimes even a bottle of wine or champagne. If you’re planning to indulge anyway, booking one can be a smart (and indulgent) way to elevate the experience. Either way, they’re worth it — because a Bali bed turns a vacation afternoon into something indulgent, unhurried, and unforgettable.

In the end? The Buddies couldn’t declare a winner. Because when your hardest choice is poolside or oceanfront, you’ve already won.
