Meet Flip: The First of the Latitude Buddies

Flip the plush skateboard mascot outside Petco Park in San Diego

Flip the Skateboard

Vibe: Energetic, street-smart, and always rolling
Loves: Urban art, music festivals, and road trip detours
Catchphrase:  "Push forward. Stay chill."

Flip thrives in the fast lane—figuratively and literally. With sneakers on and attitude in check, he’s the explorer that brings momentum to the crew.

Every great journey starts with a spark—and for Flip the Skateboard, it all began under the lights of Petco Park.

Fresh off his very first outing, Flip joined a sea of fans to watch the San Diego Padres take on the Pittsburgh Pirates. But this wasn’t just about baseball—it was a full-on vibe. Petco Park, nestled in the heart of San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter, is known as one of the most scenic and walkable stadiums in Major League Baseball. With views of the downtown skyline and San Diego Bay, it’s easy to see why it’s a fan favorite. Flip soaked it all in—skyline sunsets, the hum of the crowd, and, of course, iconic ballpark bites like local fish tacos and carne asada fries.

He even rolled by the Park at the Park, a 2.7-acre grassy lawn inside the stadium that doubles as a picnic zone and family hangout. And for a dose of history? Flip admired the Western Metal Supply Co. building—a 1909 warehouse seamlessly built into the left field line and now home to premium suites and a team store. It’s classic San Diego: historic charm, fresh energy, and laid-back fun all in one spot.

Flip, our urban explorer, was in his element. He’s the kind of Latitude Buddy who thrives in cityscapes, finds freedom in movement, and seeks out the cool corners of every destination. Whether cruising coastal boulevards or discovering art-lined alleys in mountain towns, Flip's wheels are always turning.

We’re not spilling all the plans just yet—but let’s just say, with Latitude & Leisure behind the ride, Flip’s journey is going to be full of thoughtfully planned detours and unforgettable views.

Because wherever you roll, there’s a whole world waiting.
